なんでも、ドイツの経営者むけに、日本の工場視察見学ツアーを実施したんだそうですよ。ジャスト･イン･タイムで、カラ雑巾を絞るようなムダとりを重ねた現場を見せて歩いたわけです。でも、彼らは一応感心はするけれど、心底感激したという風はない。それで、最後に感想を聞いてみたら“あの努力には敬服する。だが、なぜライバルと同じような製品を作って価格競争に向かうのか？”というんだそうです。
